Imported from Modena, Italy, our white and dark, barrel aged balsamic vinegars surpass the strictest standards set forth in Italy.
All our dark balsamic vinegars are aged up to 18 years in seasoned wood casks and "cooked" over an open wood fire in the traditional style. The casks impart a regional terroir and complexity from the residual decades of old balsamic, previously aged in the same barrels.
We store our vinegars in stainless steel fustis to keep them fresh.
The best thing about Antica’s Balsamic Vinegars is that there is no added sugar. The sweetness in Antica's Balsamic Vinegars comes from the fresh grapes that are used to make them and the balsamic aging process. On Weight Watchers, Antica White Balsamics are zero points and Antica’s Dark Balsamics are 1 point. Both white and the dark balsamics are diabetic-friendly (consult with your doctor first!).
